ElevateActual is a Salesforce Select Partner with Education Cloud accreditation, based in Denver and working with colleges, universities, and public agencies across the country. Colorado institutions contract with us directly, public agencies can buy through Carahsoft, and Colorado state agencies can also use the SIPA Salesforce program. This page explains who we serve in Colorado and how each buyer purchases.

Who Is ElevateActual, and Where Do We Work?

Status. ElevateActual, LLC is a Salesforce consulting partner at 3231 S Oneida Way, Denver, CO 80224. We hold Salesforce Select Partner status and the Education Cloud accreditation, and we are a Pledge 1% member. Our team of nine builds Salesforce for higher education (admissions, continuing education commerce, student success, career services, and advancement) and for state and local government on Public Sector Solutions and Experience Cloud. The storefronts and portals we have delivered were built by the people on that page, not by a bench elsewhere.

Rationale. We chose to be a Denver firm that works nationally rather than a national firm with a Denver office. For a Colorado buyer, that means we can be in your conference room for discovery and user acceptance testing, and we know how Colorado public institutions buy and which purchasing vehicles are already open to you. Our guide to Salesforce for higher education and our public sector practice describe the two halves of the work.

Platform rule: standard objects first, custom fields only with a written reason, automation in Flow and Platform Events, Apex only where the platform requires it. The rule is the same in Fort Collins and in Portland, Maine.

How Does a Colorado Buyer Purchase Our Services?

Status. There are four routes. Public agencies can buy ElevateActual services through Carahsoft, a government IT reseller whose contract vehicles many state and local purchasing offices already recognize. Colorado state agencies can also use the Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) Salesforce program, an established route for state entities to purchase Salesforce services. Colleges and universities usually contract with us directly on a statement of work. Salesforce account executives bring us in as the delivery partner on their own opportunities.

BuyerPurchasing routeWhat to ask us for
Public university or state collegeDirect statement of work under your procurement rules; Carahsoft where purchasing prefers a contract vehicleA fixed-scope accelerator (Commerce, Recruitment and Admissions, or Student Success), or a scoped discovery
Community college or districtDirect statement of work, phased below the formal procurement threshold and around the board calendarA phase one storefront and checkout, with SIS handoff and marketing as later phases
Private college or universityDirect statement of work, with a scope boundary per phaseAny accelerator, or a migration from a registration or admissions tool whose contract is ending
Colorado state agencySIPA Salesforce program, or CarahsoftA grants, permits, licensing, or constituent portal on Public Sector Solutions; a service center on Service Cloud
County, city, special district, or authorityCarahsoft, or a direct agreement under local purchasing rulesA constituent portal, case management, or an inspections and permits process

What to decide. Before the first call, know which route your purchasing office will accept and whether a board or council approval sits between a signed scope and a start date. We build the project calendar around it. If you are unsure, write to partners@elevateactual.com or use the contact page.

Platform rule: Salesforce licenses are purchased from Salesforce, through SIPA, a state contract, or a reseller, and are never bundled into our services agreement.

What Do Colorado Colleges and Universities Build on Salesforce?

Research Universities

Status. The state's research universities already run Salesforce in several places, so the work is usually a new unit coming onto an existing org, such as a continuing education division that needs a storefront inside an org the university already owns.

Method. We start with the org the institution has and add the new capability without disturbing the rest. A storefront inside an existing org, with unit administrators managing their own catalog under a Commerce Admin permission set, is the pattern we delivered for a private research university's continuing education units. Our guide to Salesforce Commerce for higher education describes it.

Platform rule: one org per institution wherever the institution can govern it; new units get permission sets, not their own org.

Community College Systems

Status. Colorado's community colleges operate within a state system and under boards, so a procurement threshold and an approval cadence shape every project.

Method. One Salesforce org for the system or district, one storefront per college, and phases sized to the threshold. Our article on Salesforce for community colleges lays out the phasing and the multi-college question.

Platform rule: each phase is a complete deliverable with its own acceptance, never an installment on a larger scope.

Private Colleges

Status. Colorado's private colleges move faster, with fewer approval layers, and are often leaving an admissions CRM or registration tool whose contract is ending. They need a working replacement before that date.

Method. A fixed-scope accelerator with structured discovery, live in about two months, with the old system's data migrated. The case studies on our work page include a private health-sciences university that moved admissions onto standard Education Cloud ahead of its previous vendor's contract end.

Platform rule: the go-live date is set by the old contract's end, and the scope is sized to the date.

Where Is the Noncredit and Workforce Opportunity in Colorado?

Status. Every kind of Colorado institution sells noncredit learning: professional certificates, employer-funded workforce training, summer camps, language programs, executive education, and dual enrollment. Most institutions cannot report enrollment across all of it in real time. Workforce Pell funding began in July 2026 with final rules still pending, and it will reward the colleges whose short-term programs have records that can be reported without a project.

Rationale. A storefront on Salesforce Commerce connected to Education Cloud puts the catalog, the checkout, and the learner record in one place, administered by the unit that owns the programs, with the campus payment processor staying where it is. Our continuing education practice is where most of our Colorado conversations start.

Platform rule: enrollment is created at checkout as a standard Course Offering Participant record, so the learner's history is on the platform from the first purchase.

What Do Colorado State and Local Agencies Build on Salesforce?

Status. Four use cases cover most agency requests. Grants: applications, review, award, and reporting. Permits and licensing: an applicant portal, a review queue, fees through the agency's payment processor, and issuance. Inspections: scheduling, checklists, findings, and follow-up tied to the permit or site. Constituent portals: one place where a resident, contractor, or grantee sees their applications and cases.

Method. Public Sector Solutions provides the standard objects, Experience Cloud the portal, and Flow the automation. For an agency replacing a ticketing tool, Service Cloud with a service portal is often the shorter route. Our public sector practice page details each use case.

Platform rule: a constituent should never need to know which Salesforce product is behind the form. One portal, one login, one case history.

What Have We Delivered for the Public Sector?

Status. Two engagements describe the range. For a state department of transportation's aviation division, we built a grants and airport-sponsor portal on Public Sector Solutions, as a subconsultant to the engineering firm that holds the prime contract. For a public university's HR service center, we built a service portal and case management to replace a legacy ticketing tool. We name neither client and publish no user counts.

Rationale. The subconsultant route works. A firm that already holds the prime contract can bring us in for the Salesforce portion, and the agency gets a Salesforce partner without a new procurement.

Platform rule: we deliver on the agency's own Salesforce org, under the agency's security model, and the agency's administrators are trained to maintain it before we leave.

Questions We Hear

Do you only work in Colorado?

No. Our office is in Denver and our clients are across the country, from Maine to Colorado and beyond. Most delivery is remote by design, with on-site time reserved for discovery and user acceptance testing. Colorado buyers get a partner who can be in the room on short notice and who knows the state's purchasing routes.

Can a Colorado state agency buy from you through SIPA or Carahsoft?

Yes to both. Colorado state agencies can use the Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority's Salesforce program, an established route for state entities to purchase Salesforce services. Any public agency, in Colorado or elsewhere, can purchase ElevateActual services through Carahsoft. Tell us which route your purchasing office prefers and we will structure the statement of work to fit it.

Do you work with community colleges?

Yes. The noncredit and workforce side of community colleges is a large part of our continuing education practice. We phase the work so each phase is a complete deliverable that stays below the district's formal procurement threshold, with a written scope boundary and a calendar built around the board's approval cadence. For a multi-college district we recommend one Salesforce org with a storefront per college.

Can you work as a subconsultant under our prime contractor?

Yes. Our state department of transportation work was delivered as a subconsultant to an engineering firm holding the prime contract: the prime managed the agency relationship and the schedule, and we delivered the Salesforce portal under its contract. A planning, engineering, or program-management firm your agency already has under contract can bring us in the same way.

What does Salesforce Select Partner with Education Cloud accreditation mean?

Select is a tier in Salesforce's consulting partner program; it reflects a partner's overall standing in that program across every industry it serves. The Education Cloud accreditation is the industry-specific credential: Salesforce has confirmed our capability on the Education Cloud product itself. The tier says we are a partner in good standing; the accreditation says we know the education product. The people on your project tell you the rest.
